As a Federal Police Agent Rogerio’ public career centered on technological innovation in public security, culminating in his role as Information Technology Coordinator at the Federal Police Department, Brazil. Additionally,he held the post of Deputy Police Attaché at the Brazilian Embassy in Rome, Italy. Following a distinguished 30-year career in policing, he transitioned to private sector work, where he focuses on training and specializing police officers and government employees in Brazil and abroad on advanced investigative tools for digital environments. He also volunteers to give educational lectures to children and teens on responsible social media usage.

Francesco (Frank) Schiliro’ is a lecturer in Cybercrime and Cyber Security at ADFA/University of New South Wales, holding a Master of Research in Computing and a PhD in Computer Science from Macquarie University. A retired Superintendent from the Australian Federal Police (AFP), Frank's 34-year policing career began with the New South Wales Police Force in 1988, where he worked in criminal investigations before joining the AFP in 2003.

Frank's research at the University of Macquarie is dedicated to enhancing police effectiveness in crime response through advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. His current academic focus is on the evolution of crime from cybercrime to hypercrime—an advanced and systemic form of criminal activity that leverages technologies like artificial intelligence to disrupt societal and legal norms. Frank’s work explores the complexities of hypercrime, offering insights into its impacts and advocating for new law enforcement strategies to address emerging digital threats.

Professor Amin Beheshti, Ph.D

Professor Amin Beheshti is Professor of Data Science at Macquarie University, and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at UNSW Sydney, Australia. Amin is also the founder and director of the Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence, the head of the Data Science Lab, and the founder of the Big Data Society at Macquarie University.

Amin completed his PhD and post-doctoral research in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales, following over a decade of industry experience as a founder and CEO, consultant, and solutions architect in national and international organisations. He also holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, both with first class honours.

Recognised as a distinguished researcher in Data and AI Science, Amin has chaired, spoken at and helped co-ordinate numerous top international conferences, is the leading author of several books in data, social and process analytics, and has secured over fifty research projects and more than AUD $39 million in research funding.

His numerous awards include AI Academic/Researcher of the Year 2024 in the Australian National AI Awards, various Excellence Awards at Macquarie University in 2022 and 2023, National Security Impact Award and the Recognition Award (Data 2 Decisions CRC, 2016 and 2017).
